Dr. Appt.

Now I know what knitting will do for you. I lost 17# doing all that knitting and not snacking. I'm happy, and will continue this. If it works, don't change it. :)

Update & sale!

I updated my accomplishments post, in regards to Pine Ridge. Made additional 21 kids hats. Sure keeps me from eating at night. LOL

Also, I'm selling off my excess craft supplies. What is made on each sale will go to retiring an existing construction loan at my church. We hope to add classrooms, and needed storage beginning in 2012.

Baby hats

I had just enough of the pink, blue & white varigated to make 2 more baby hats.

From this to this

Here's another group of baby hats. I did add some white to this group, but only enough for the red & white hats. To date, I've made 30 baby hats. I love these kinds of projects.

From this to this

As I posted at the beginning of the year, I'm trying to finish up some projects, and clean out the craft supplies I have. While sorting through my yarn, I found oodles and oodles of small amounts of yarn in all kinds of colors. I sorted them into pastels, jewel tones, and earth tones.

Here is my first completed group. I have to admit I added some white to this project, but it was partial skeins, and also I found some lavender after I started making these baby hats. Hope you enjoy the results.

Finishing Projects!

I was explaining to a friend last night how excited I am about finishing all those unfinished projects that are laying around my house. That makes it sound like I'm a hoarder. Not the case, but a collector of unfinished projects, none the less.

My personality is such that I like to make things, but I don't always finish them due to lack of time, or loss of interest. Besides having all these projects in bags and boxes in my house, these projects also take up the funds that I have available. Unfinished projects never get given as gifts, and I end up buying something ready-made to give.

So, the goal this year is to finish those projects, and if don't want to finish something, make sure it gets donated where it will be used and enjoyed.
