Baby Addie's Gift

Made this card to go with a baby sweater that is a gift for baby Addie. Sweater is just like the one in >>this<< picture. It is also a premie size. Addie was only 4#.

Tha card is a pre-folded flecked cardstock. Purchased baby rattle embellishment with Prima flower, and flat-backed, pink pearl attached.

New Grand-baby!

On Monday, February 8th, I became a grandmother again. Ilyanna was born at 1:36 pm. She weighed 7# 12 oz., and was 19 1/2" long. 

Here is the blanket, sweater and hat I made for her. I know it's hard to see, but the pieces are a pale pink.

Addition: I decided to make booties and mittens, too. :)

Jacki's Challenge

A few days ago Jacki gave us a challenge to make a card that "wasn't a rectangle." I kept thinking about that, and knew I needed two baby cards for showers that are this week. So here is what I came up with.

I took one sheet of white card stock, and one sheet of blue card stock, cut each in half, folded each and cut a large scalloped Nestabilities circle (largest of large set) from the blue, and a small scalloped Nestabilties circle (third largest of large set) from the white, extending the die to create the top fold. I embossed the front of the blue circle using the Stylized Flowers embossing folder from Cuttlebug, and embossing the white circle with "It's A Boy" from the It's a Boy set of 4 embossing folders by Cuttlebug. Overlapping the two at the fold I centered a small straight circle Nestie (chosen to fit the space)and cut through both layers. Using an eyelet punch I punch holes around the white circle, layered them together with double face tape, and added a ribbon bow with a glue dot. The back of each layer is plain.

Preemie Baby Sweater & Hat

I have to show you what I just finished. This is a crocheted, preemie baby sweater and hat in a variegated pink yarn with sparkle. The width from underarm to underarm is 6". The hat at it's widest is 4 1/2". This was a new pattern for me, but similar to some I'd done before, so it took me an evening, plus a few hours to make both pieces. I'm planning to send this to friends who had a preemie girl named Ruth on April 14th. She was only 2# 12 oz. Now she's about 5# and will probably be going home soon.

Baby Shower Card

This is another card using a pre-embossed card, STAX, and Miss Elizabeth glitter stickers for baby. My daughter, Heather & I have a baby shower on Saturday. We found out it's a girl.

Sticker Cards!

I was inspired by yesterday's efforts, and thought I'd try some more. The stickers on the baby card are from Sticko (words), and Whipper Stickers (images). Stax used on both, with Miss Elizabeth Stickers used on the floral card. Both are 5" x 7" pre-embossed grid cards from The Card Patch.
